Football Game Preview: Hibriten Panthers vs. R-S Central Hilltoppers

Two dominant signal callers in Elan Lipford and Rylan Holley are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hibriten Panthers will be playing at home against the R-S Central Hilltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hibriten knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully R-S Central likes a good challenge.

Hibriten's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-0 win over Draughn. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, R-S Central beat East Burke 27-14 on Friday.

R-S Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Isaiah Smith, Hezekiah Joiner, and Elmer Littlejohn picked up one apiece. R-S Central is 3-1 when Joiner posts one or more interceptions, but 1-2 otherwise.

Hibriten's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for R-S Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
