Recap: ThunderRidge Grizzlies vs. Legend Titans
The ThunderRidge Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 56-41 bruising from Legend. While losing is never fun, ThunderRidge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Legend is ranked second).
ThunderRidge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Becca Winton, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Baker, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
ThunderRidge struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Legend pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.
Katie Lamb was her usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Legend. Maley Wilhelm was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
ThunderRidge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Legend, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
ThunderRidge will head out on the road to face off against Highlands Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Legend, they will be playing at home against Legacy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
