Baseball Recap: Kasson-Mantorville Takes a Loss

Kasson-Mantorville lost against Winona back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Komets fell just short of the Winhawks by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Komets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kasson-Mantorville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Babcock, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Kasson-Mantorville now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Winona, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11.

Looking ahead, Kasson-Mantorville will square off against Zumbrota-Mazeppa at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Winona has already played their next match (against Byron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
