Volleyball Recap: Alamo Heights Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Alamo Heights won the last time they faced Wagner and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mules were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Thunderbirds. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Mules this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Alamo Heights was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-11.

Leading Alamo Heights to victory were Haley Reno and Ava Johnson. Reno had 20 assists, while Johnson had six digs and two assists. That's the most assists Johnson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Alamo Heights was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Alamo Heights' win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Wagner, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Alamo Heights will take on Clemens in a tournament on Friday. After both having extra time off, Wagner and Boerne will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
