Softball Game Preview: Episcopal Knights vs. St. Agnes Academy Tigers

The Episcopal Knights will venture away from home to take on the St. Agnes Academy Tigers at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

St. Agnes Academy will be up against a hot Episcopal squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Episcopal never let Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Tuesday. 13 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, St. Agnes Academy entered their tilt with Incarnate Word Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Falcons.

Episcopal's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Agnes Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-3-1.

Episcopal couldn't quite finish off St. Agnes Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can Episcopal avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
