Volleyball Recap: Western Reserve Has No Trouble Against Crestview

After losing to Crestview the last time they met, Western Reserve decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Roughriders blew past the Cougars 3-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Roughriders.

The win didn't come easy: Crestview scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-22.

Drew Clemons paced Western Reserve's offense, picking up 11 kills. Clemons got some help from Jamie Muenz and her 31 assists. Emma Hammond controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Crestview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emma Horner had 13 digs.

Western Reserve's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Crestview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.

Looking ahead, Western Reserve will head out to square off against Edison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crestview, after both having extra time off, they and Port Clinton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
