Volleyball Game Preview: Post Antelopes vs. Olton Mustangs

The Post Antelopes will venture away from home to square off against the Olton Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Post is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Post didn't have quite enough to beat Abernathy and fell 3-2.

Post actually scored more points across those five sets (109-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-22, 18-25, 25-23, 14-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Olton suffered their biggest defeat since August 12th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Plains. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Mustangs haven't been shut out since back in August.

While Olton had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-19.

Post's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Olton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.

Post beat Olton 2-0 in their previous matchup back in August. Do the Antelopes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
