Basketball Game Preview: Kickapoo Panthers vs. De Soto Pirates

Kickapoo has won five straight games at home, while De Soto has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Kickapoo Panthers will welcome the De Soto Pirates at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kickapoo beat Wauzeka-Steuben 38-34.

Meanwhile, De Soto made easy work of North Crawford on Thursday and carried off a 67-45 win. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

De Soto has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Kickapoo, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.

Kickapoo didn't have too much breathing room in their match against De Soto in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 63-58 win. Does Kickapoo have another victory up their sleeve, or will De Soto turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
