Recap: Stone Mountain Pirates vs. Druid Hills Red Devils
The Stone Mountain Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Druid Hills. Stone Mountain has not had much luck with Druid Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Stone Mountain lost, one person who can't be blamed is Makayla Wilson. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shameon King, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Stone Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Druid Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Stone Mountain will head out on the road to face off against Miller Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Druid Hills, they will be playing at home against Clarkston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Clarkston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
