Basketball Recap: Frenship Takes a Loss

Frenship was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Monterey Plainsmen, falling 81-51. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Plainsmen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Frenship's record now sits at 0-3. As for Monterey, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frenship and Midland Christian will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Monterey, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wylie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
