Baseball Recap: Copper Hills Comes Up Short

Copper Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corner Canyon Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Tuesday.

Copper Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Nay, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Copper Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Corner Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

While Copper Hills had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
