Baseball Recap: Jordan's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Jordan won the last time they faced Morton Ranch and things went their way on Tuesday too. Jordan put the hurt on Morton Ranch with a sharp 13-3 win. Considering the Warriors have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Owen Wendt looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Jackie Bryant was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Jordan is undefeated when Bryant posts two or more runs, but 6-7-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cole Keppler, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morton Ranch only posted an OBP of .391.

The victory (which was Jordan's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 13.25 hits in those games compared to only 5.63 in the others. As for Morton Ranch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
