Preview: Lincoln County vs. Manhattan/Manhattan Christian
Lincoln County will go up against Manhattan/Manhattan Christian in continuing playoff action on Saturday. Averaging 57.67 points per game, the Lincoln County squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully Manhattan/Manhattan Christian's defense is prepared for a test.
Lincoln County earned some more postseason success in their contest last week. They snuck past Red Lodge/Roberts with a 39-35 victory. Hank Dunn went supernova for the Lions as he picked up 154 yards on the ground on 23 carries and accumulated 281 passing yards.
Manhattan/Manhattan Christian faced Fairfield/Augusta in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Manhattan/Manhattan Christian got past Fairfield/Augusta with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 25-19.
Lincoln County found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 33-6 punch to the gut against Manhattan/Manhattan Christian when the two teams last met in last October. The defeat knocked the Lions out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at the Tigers with a vengeful fire.
