Soccer Game Preview: Elkhorn South vs. Millard West

The Elkhorn South Storm will head out to face off against the Millard West Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

It was a classic North v. South duel when Elkhorn South took on Omaha North on Thursday. The Storm never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That ten goal margin sets a new team best for Elkhorn South this season.

Meanwhile, Millard West waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Bison 5-0. With that victory, Millard West brought their scoring average up to 2.6 goals per game.

They hit Buena Vista with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Diego Zapata (3), Roman DiDomenico, and Carson Hutteger.

Millard West's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Elkhorn South, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Elkhorn South suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Millard West when the teams last played on Monday. Can the Storm avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
