Basketball Recap: Piedmont Community Charter Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jackson Day, Piedmont Community Charter was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles by a score of 43-34. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adriana Mullinax, who posted four points and six boards. Emily Chichas was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Piedmont Community Charter has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Piedmont Community Charter has already played their next contest (against Cherryville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pinnacle Classical Academy will face off against The Master's Academy on January 24th. The Master's Academy's defense has only allowed 23.3 points per game this season, so Pinnacle Classical Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
