Softball Recap: Wheeling Central Catholic Find Success

Wheeling Central Catholic took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Oak Glen, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Wheeling Central Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Oak Glen on Monday, sneaking past 3-1. For the Maroon Knights, this counts as revenge for the 15-0 victory the Golden Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

Wheeling Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Oak Glen, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.

Coming up, Wheeling Central Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Toronto at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oak Glen, they are taking a road trip to challenge Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
