Soccer Recap: Poquoson Takes a Loss

Poquoson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to the Warhill Lions. If Poquoson were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Warhill when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Poquoson's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Warhill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poquoson will square off against Western Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Western Branch will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Poquoson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Warhill, they will challenge Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warhill will be up against Grafton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.6 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
