Basketball Recap: Galax Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Galax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 54-43 to the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs. The Maroon Tide were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Galax's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eastern Montgomery, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Galax will welcome Giles at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastern Montgomery, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rockbridge County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
