Volleyball Game Preview: Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs vs. Mentor Cardinals

The Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Mentor Cardinals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Stow-Munroe Falls is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Stow-Munroe Falls came up short against St. Vincent-St. Mary and fell 3-1.

Stow-Munroe Falls was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made St. Vincent-St. Mary work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24, 23-25, 25-21.

Stow-Munroe Falls' loss came about despite a quality game from Luke Hoskinson, who had 17 digs.

Meanwhile, Mentor unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Nordonia by a score of 3-2. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 25-20 in the first set.

Mentor actually scored more points across those five sets (102-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 13-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Stow-Munroe Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mentor, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 4-2.
