Baseball Recap: Hanover Find Success

Hanover's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Susquenita Blackhawks.

Chase Foreman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Tim Wagaman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Hanover's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-8 when he doesn't). Carver Alvarez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Hanover's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Susquenita, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover will take on Bermudian Springs at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Susquenita, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against East Juniata at 4:30 p.m.
