Basketball Recap: Ty Morris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bethune over Elbert

Bethune played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 54-34 to the Elbert Bulldogs. The Bobcats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Bethune's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Morris, who posted 13 points. Lorenzo Trebesch De Perez also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Elbert's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Tesman, who went 8-for-17 on his way to 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Tesman has scored at least a third of Elbert's points. Another player making a difference was Eli Cornell, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Bethune's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Elbert, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.
