Preview: Madison Blue Streaks vs. Berkshire Badgers
Madison is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Berkshire is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Madison Blue Streaks will take on the Berkshire Badgers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Madison came up short against Harvey and fell 83-76. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (75), Madison still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Madison got a solid performance out of JP Dragas, who scored 41 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That was a full 53.9% of Madison's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Noah Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Berkshire humbled Cardinal with a 66-35 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Berkshire had established a 29 point advantage.
Madison's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Berkshire, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season.
Madison beat Berkshire 66-55 when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Will Madison repeat their success, or does Berkshire have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
