Softball Recap: Beallsville Wins Going Away Against Paden City

Beallsville won the last time they faced Paden City and things went their way on Monday too. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 21-2 margin over the Wildcats. That 19 run margin sets a new team best for the Blue Devils this season.

Beallsville got a massive performance out of Abby McCulley, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that McCulley snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Karly Showalter, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-3.

Beallsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Beallsville back to even at 3-3. As for Paden City, they dropped their record down to 0-11-1 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beallsville will venture away from home to take on Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paden City, they will head out to face off against Union Local at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
