Baseball Recap: Greenhills Comes Up Short

Greenhills extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-11. They came up short against the Garden City Cougars, falling 15-0. The Gryphons were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in May of 2019.

As for Garden City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-5-1. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 13 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Garden City's part, the team relied heavily on Ethan Armstrong, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most doubles Armstrong has posted since back in May of 2025.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenhills will square off against Cabrini at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Garden City, they will take on Coopersville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
