Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Cheyenne + How To Watch

The Centennial Bulldogs will challenge the Cheyenne Desert Shields at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial will be strutting in after a win while Cheyenne will be coming in after a defeat.

Centennial's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Cimarron-Memorial. The win made it back-to-back victories for Centennial.

Something new happened on Monday as Ian Rivera saw his first action of the season, playing 70 minutes against Cimarron-Memorial. Rivera made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal and one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Shadow Ridge. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Cheyenne couldn't quite close it out.

Cheyenne's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-2.

Everything went Centennial's way against Cheyenne when the teams last played back in September, as Centennial made off with a 4-0 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Desert Shields turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
