Basketball Recap: Randolph Southern Piles Up the Points Against Anderson Prep Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eastern Hancock, Randolph Southern was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They really took it to the Anderson Prep Academy Jets for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-23 victory. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Haileigh Allen was her usual excellent self, going 11 for 25 en route to 28 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024. Tarissa Watson was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Randolph Southern smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Randolph Southern's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Anderson Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Randolph Southern will take on Blue River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Randolph Southern is facing Blue River Valley at the right time seeing as Blue River Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they will challenge Tindley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
