Softball Recap: Friendswood Takes a Loss

Friendswood entered their contest against Angleton on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mustangs fell 3-0 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Friendswood and nudges their season record down to 22-4. As for Angleton, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Friendswood and Angleton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Mustangs will face off against Ball at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (38 vs. 584). Meanwhile, Angleton (ranked 33rd) will meet Texas City (ranked 203rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
