Basketball Game Preview: Danbury Lakers vs. Plymouth Big Red

The Danbury Lakers will square off against the Plymouth Big Red at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Danbury is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Danbury is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Calvert on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Danbury lost 65-40 to Calvert. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 791st, while the Senecas are ranked 170th).

Meanwhile, Plymouth came up short against St. Paul on Friday and fell 53-43.

Danbury's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Plymouth, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Danbury took their win against Plymouth in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 85-64. Does Danbury have another victory up their sleeve, or will Plymouth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
