Volleyball Recap: Garden Grove's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fairmont Prep, Garden Grove was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bernstein Dragons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Argonauts have posted since October 30, 2024.

Garden Grove was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 21-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-8.

With the win, Garden Grove broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8. As for Bernstein, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garden Grove will venture away from home to challenge Ocean View at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bernstein, they will challenge Contreras at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Dragons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
