Volleyball Game Preview: Wachusett Regional Mountaineers vs. Westborough Rangers

Wachusett Regional is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Westborough is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mountaineers will host the Rangers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wachusett Regional will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Algonquin Regional, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mountaineers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Titans on Thursday.

In the three sets Wachusett Regional was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 17-25, 25-15, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Westborough made easy work of Algonquin Regional on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Westborough walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-18.

Westborough's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Wachusett Regional, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
