Fairfield Prep's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hillhouse Academics a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Jesuits have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Reid Stanton tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dan DeLibro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Ryan Ventrelle was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Fairfield Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Fairfield Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Hillhouse, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
