Softball Game Preview: Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets vs. Loranger Wolves

The Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to face off against the Loranger Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Mt. Hermon took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 24-4 margin over Bogalusa. The high-scoring effort was just what the Yellowjackets needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Meanwhile, Loranger got themselves on the board against Franklinton on Tuesday, but Franklinton never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Loranger's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Mt. Hermon, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Mt. Hermon might still be hurting after the 17-0 loss they got from Loranger when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Mt. Hermon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
