Soccer Recap: Vashon Island Comes Up Short

Vashon Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cascade Christian Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Cascade Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 last Saturday.

Vashon Island's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cascade Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Vashon Island will head out to challenge Seattle Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cascade Christian, they will face off against Bear Creek at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Bear Creek's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Cascade Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
