Basketball Game Preview: Lake Howell Silverhawks vs. Forest Wildcats

The Lake Howell Silverhawks will face off against the Forest Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Lake Howell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Oakleaf 71-42. The Silverhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.

Lake Howell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jadrian De Los Santos, who went 6-for-8 en route to 12 points and six rebounds. What's more, De Los Santos also posted two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Janiel De Los Santos was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Forest beat Crestview 67-57 on Wednesday.

Forest is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Lake Howell, their victory bumped their record up to 22-6.

Lake Howell won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, slipping by Forest 40-39. Does Lake Howell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Forest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
