Recap: Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans vs. Sacred Heart Irish
This season hasn't been kind to the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans, who are still winless after their sixth match. They were beaten by Sacred Heart 61-31 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Sacred Heart is ranked 57th).
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Bohling, who scored five points along with six assists and six rebounds. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. Brennen Vaughan was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sacred Heart, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southern at 4:00 p.m. on December 16th. Southern is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Sacred Heart, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri County on Tuesday.
