Rolling Meadows and Glenbrook South are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will take on the Titans at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Rolling Meadows will be strutting in after a victory while Glenbrook South will be coming in after a loss.

Rolling Meadows will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Maine East on Tuesday. The Mustangs never let the Blue Demons get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Blue Demons: they've now won four in a row.

Rolling Meadows let Ashlyn Ferguson and Caylee Del Boccio run wild. Ferguson went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Del Boccio scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, Del Boccio posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Brand, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

Rolling Meadows always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maine East only posted an OBP of .158.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to Maine West.

Glenbrook South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Hafeman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Glenbrook South's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rolling Meadows, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Glenbrook South's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rolling Meadows hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .377. It's a different story for Glenbrook South, though, as they've only averaged .136. Will they be able to contain Rolling Meadows' hitters?

Rolling Meadows suffered a grim 17-5 defeat to Glenbrook South when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
