Gray Stone Day was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Langtree Charter Academy Lions. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 9-4 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Caleb Vullo made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaron Maynor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Gray Stone Day's record now sits at 5-6. As for Langtree Charter Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-3 record this season.

Gray Stone Day will square off against Union Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Langtree Charter Academy, they will challenge Mountain Island Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
