Forest Hills Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Grandville Bulldogs 2-1. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Forest Hills Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Grandville is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Hills Central will head out to challenge Grand Haven at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grandville, they will take on Traverse City Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
