Basketball Recap: South Putnam Comes Up Short

South Putnam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Parke Heritage Wolves 79-46. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 67-46 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Parke Heritage, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

South Putnam will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clay City at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Parke Heritage will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Sheridan at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Parke Heritage's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
