Ravenna and Rootstown are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Ravens will take on the Rovers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Ravenna has given up an average of 57 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ravenna is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games last Friday. They were dealt a 73-35 loss at the hands of Woodridge. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 143rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rootstown). They really took it to East Palestine for the full four quarters, racking up a 91-56 victory. The Rovers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 28 points or more this season.

Ravenna's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Rootstown, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Ravenna and Rootstown were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, but Ravenna came up empty-handed after a 58-57 loss. Can the Ravens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
