Football Recap: Los Fresnos Beats Hanna for Their Tenth Straight Victory

It was a Battle of the Birds when Los Fresnos took on Hanna on Friday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Golden Eagles. Considering the Falcons have won five games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Los Fresnos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Robert Pineda, who threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 39 yards. The dominant performance also gave Pineda a new career-high in passer rating (162.4). Another rusher making a difference was Tyler Stachowiak, who gained 124 total yards and a touchdown.

Los Fresnos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Leading the way was Hector Resendiz and his one interception.

The victory keeps Los Fresnos at an undefeated 10-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.2 points this season. As for Hanna, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Los Fresnos will challenge Economedes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Pineda and Johan Nunez. Hanna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
