Baseball Recap: Zephyrhills Comes Up Short

Zephyrhills lost against Wiregrass Ranch back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Zephyrhills Bulldogs fell just short of the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls by a score of 2-1.

Zephyrhills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danny Carter, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Zephyrhills has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Wiregrass Ranch's record is now 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Zephyrhills will venture away from home to challenge IMG Academy Navy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they are taking a road trip to face off against Cypress Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The last nine games Wiregrass Ranch has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
