Softball Recap: Crockett Takes a Loss

Crockett came into this matchup off a tough 19-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Trinity Tigers by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Yahira Aguilar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Allison, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Crockett has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Trinity, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

While Crockett had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
