Recap: Madison Highland Prep Heat vs. Desert Christian Eagles
The Madison Highland Prep Heat's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 76-37 defeat at the hands of Desert Christian. Madison Highland Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-16.
Desert Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bennett Vondrak, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Tyson Dobbins was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with seven steals and six assists.
Madison Highland Prep bumped their record down to 10-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Desert Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Madison Highland Prep will head out on the road to face off against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Desert Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ray is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
