Volleyball Recap: Shadow Mountain Takes a Loss

Shadow Mountain lost against Thunderbird back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Matadors came up short against the Titans, falling 3-0. The Matadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Shadow Mountain took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 25-19.

Thunderbird can attribute much of their success to Bailey Thornton, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most aces Thornton has posted since back in September.

Shadow Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Thunderbird, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Shadow Mountain is set to challenge their familiar foe Greenway at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Thunderbird will face off against rival Moon Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
