Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Bleckley County

The Central Chargers will head out to take on the Bleckley County Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Academy for Classical Education. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Central couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Bleckley County came up short against Tattnall Square Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that Bleckley County have lost by exactly two goals.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bleckley County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Central beat Bleckley County by a goal when the teams last played back in February of 2025, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
