Luca Velasquez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Velasquez's strong effort led Gateway over International and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
