Glenview College Prep suffers fifth straight loss on the road

The Glenview College Prep Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Pointe. Glenview College Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as South Pointe apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Prince Sohn was his usual excellent self, scoring 34 points along with six assists and four steals for South Pointe. The game was Sohn's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Glenview College Prep bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for South Pointe, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Glenview College Prep and ASU Prep will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for South Pointe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
