Basketball Recap: Chief Sealth Takes a Loss

The Chief Sealth Seahawks came up short against the Seattle Academy Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 65-43. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 106th).

Chief Sealth has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Seattle Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-4 record.

Chief Sealth will be playing in front of their home fans against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Seattle Academy, they will challenge Ballard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ballard knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Seattle Academy likes a good challenge.
