Emma Baumann was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those doubles were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alix McCarthy, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one triple.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Wisconsin Heights and Cambridge, and Wisconsin Heights kept the tradition alive. The Vanguards had just enough and edged out the Bluejays 7-5.
The team relied heavily on Haley Wipperfurth, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Alyssa Stapleman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
